AGH! I reserved almost 1 year ahead of time requesting ocean view. I got a room far from the beach, looking inland, just over the hotel landfield (yes, the trash!). There was also some view of the engine rooms and hotel plant. Much discussion, they would not budge, and lied over room availability. |Swimming pool area gets crowded: if you don't stake your claim for a chaise by 7am by covering one with a towel (you have to keep a swimming pool area towel from previous day), you are out of luck. Forget about getting one with a shade umbrella. And the sitting on the beach is now very limited, and for pay.|Room cleaning did not come every day: we in fact had to go put in a requests and call repeatedly to get maids to come (daily cleaning is of course supposedly included).|Pluses? Beds were OK, AC worked in room, shower not so good, good internet wifi across resort including rooms.

Beautiful property in a great location. Be aware the hotel is rebranding from Kempinski to Melia and will be closed from Oct 1, 2025 until April1 , 2026 when it reopens under the Melia banner. Hope a large portion of the staff is retained as the service and hospitality were awesome (especially the breakfast ladies!)

Lovely hotel right on the beach with fabulous gardens and pool. Well appointed rooms. Quiet location 8-10euro cab ride from town.||If i had to gribble then i would suggest that accessible access for the disabled to the gardens and pool is not good with a steep slope and uneven crazy paved path. The alternative is lots of steps. Either way its not good. I couldn’t see a pool hoist for those in need. ||Sadly the hotel will close for the winter as the new owners Melia come in. Let us hope they keep the quality and improve the accessibility in their improvements.
